There's a skunk in the woodpile.
These “hundreds” of anti-immigrations supposedly organized for this past weekend are a big mystery. I have been trying to search out information about them. In particular I have been trying to find out who paid for “hundreds” of permits. That would go a long way toward revealing who, exactly, was behind organizing them.
Unfortunately I did not see anything about hundreds of protests, only a handful. Of that handful only two, in Portland OR and Columbus OH had any mention of permits in the news stories. In those locations no one had bothered to get a permit. Furthermore, no organizers appeared at the events, only assorted protesters and counter-protesters who saw the announcements passed around the internet and decided to go.
To top it off, the protests were presented as representing right wing causes but were “staged” … if you can use that word in reference to events that never happened … in longtime centers of left wing activist politics. That would be like the kkk having a cross lighting in Harlem. You would know they were more interested in stirring up violence than in their free speech.
To recap and extrapolate at the same time: somewhere in Oz, the man behind the curtain set up a phantom political movement to create divisive racially and politically based confrontations between groups of “the American people.” Luckily the man behind the curtain doesn't have any idea how “the American people” actually think and act.
