PeaceLink Live! Produces “Mainstreaming Consciousness Telesummit” With The Shift Network

Los Angeles– June 24, 2014 – PeaceLink Live! and The Shift Network have officially partnered together to put on a Telesummit all-day on June 28th as part of the larger Summer of Peace Summit hosted by the Shift Network. The Telesummit is part of PeaceLink Live!’s ongoing efforts to bring celebrities, policy makers, entertainment media leaders, and non-government organizations together for a discussion.

“The ‘Mainstreaming Consciousness Telesummit’ will feature industry leaders coming together in an attempt to bring peace and consciousness to our media and society. People like Steve-O from MTV’s Jackass, Ivana Mili?evi? from Banshee, Alex Ebert the lead singer from Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Congressman Tim Ryan, Madeleine Smithberg the co-creator of The Daily Show, and several others will be coming together for this conversation,” said Tony Boldi, PeaceLink Live! TV Host.

The main goal of the Mainstreaming Consciousness Telesummit is to rebrand peace in a less abstract way so individuals can connect with the message, thus contributing to create a more peaceful, mindful society. As Jay Ponti, Executive Director of PeaceLink Live! explains, the whole idea of the project is "to promote things people can do individually to bring peace in their own lives, things like meditation, good health, and actions that promote inner peace of mind. Thereby the aggregate sum of this peaceful societies made of peaceful individuals who make more mindful choices will help make the world a better place". According to Jay Ponti, one of the key factors that determines the success of social movements is to get key influencers- musicians, celebrities, politicians-, bring them together, and deliver a message with good production values that people can connect with.

The Mainstreaming Consciousness Telesummit will serve as a pre-event for PeaceLink Live!’s upcoming 10X Young Leaders Vision Summit, which will be on October 10th – 12th at the Los Angeles International Airport, Hilton Hotel. The 10X Summit will feature more speakers and visionaries as they look to work with the people to create change for 10 different movements that need reform in today’s society. Movements like the women's rights movement, environmental sustainability or corporate accountability will join their efforts in order to come up with strategic plans that will hopefully result into changes in policy.

“We’re bringing together all the NGO leaders, all the nonprofits, the experts, the leaders, the celebrities, everyone who should be working together on these movements but hasn’t yet. We are gathering all of the groups that should be collaborating on education reforms, climate change, women's rights and human rights, so we can come up with strategic plans and ways we can all work together to solve these problems and eventually bring them into changes in policy.,” said Ponti.

The schedule of the event is as follows:

9am- Discover the Gift: with transformational leader Shajen Joy Aziz and her brother writer/director Demian Lichtenstein (3000 Miles to Graceland, Undateable John) talking about their journey of forgiveness and reconciliation that sparked a book, movie and global movement. Hosted by Tony Boldi
