NEW PODCAST!!!- feed://www.outfarpress.com/podcast.xml (128kb Highest Quality)

This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, Spanish National Radio, Radio Havana Cuba, NHK World Radio Japan, and the Voice of Russia.

From GERMANY- A few hours after Petro Poroshenko announced his presidential victory, the Ukraine military launched airstrikes and paratrooper assaults against pro-Russian rebels. In Egypt, former military chief Sisi won a presidential election that was widely boycotted. There has been an attempted coup in a region of Georgia. President Obama announced plans to keep 10,000 troops in Afghanistan and to fund the elimination of terrorists globally. EU parliamentary elections were won by far-right and Euro-skeptic candidates- the results are described as a political earthquake.

From SPAIN- A review of the EU parliamentary election results. The attacks on Donetsk by the Ukraine military have continued. Tens of thousands in Brazil have been protesting the money spent on the upcoming World Cup Championship. In the US the span of income inequality has soared.

From CUBA- The first round of presidential elections in Colombia ended in a tie. Rachel Corrie's parents have appealed to the Israeli Supreme Court to hold the Israeli military accountable for her death while defending a Palestinian home in 2003.

From JAPAN- Thailand's military junta wants to open dialogue between the country's rival factions. A Vietnamese boat sunk in a confrontation with Chinese ships as China moves forward with oil drilling in an area now claimed by Vietnam- President Obama warned that the confrontation could draw in US military forces. The World Meteorlogical Organization reported that carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere have exceeded 400 parts per million for the first time in 800,000 years.

From RUSSIA- An interview with Dave Lindorf on Attorney General Holder's threat to prosecute 5 Chinese military hackers for cyber spying.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.

TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org >

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)
