South Central Activist Runs for City Council; Tells Radical Life Story

Life Story of a City Council Candidate from South Central, High School Teacher, and Community Organizer who was born to an undocumented mother who fled civil war in El Salvador. Amid race riots in his school, he brought ethnic studies to classrooms to ease tensions in Los Angeles. He is now running for city council in LA's District 9, South Central.
