The relationship between fiction and reality are quite interesting. Almost everything that men imagined in the past became reality. Vidio conferencing, mobile phones, miniaturized computers ... all this has been Fictional Science one day.
"Imagine a world in which war machines flying over devastated cities firing missiles in powerless people." The theme of the movie "Terminator" became a reality now in a certain way in some cities of the Middle East, where the USA uses drones to incinerate his enemies, suspects and even children.
There is a subtle irony in this case. In 1984, when "Terminator" was produced, the USA president was Republican Ronald Reagan. Do you remember Star Wars Project and the dirty wars in Nicaragua and El Salvador?. Well... But who brought reality to the fiction of combat drones killing powerless people was Obama, a Democrat guy.
This says something about the American two-party system. Actually there are two different policies in the USA, this is just a fiction. The reality, far more brutal. Yesterday and today, under Republicans or Democrats, only there is a desire in the White House: the control of all, everywhere by any means.
