JAN PERRY: NOTHING FOR HER ARTS DISTRICT ARTISTS, NOTHING FOR THE PEOPLE OF LOS ANGELES

Jan Perry will screw the actual people of Los Angeles in favor of business the same way she has screwed the actual artists in the LA Arts District in favor of all the commercial developers and noisy, intrusive, disruptive
commercial activity in what was an artistic environment for almost 30 years. This was the arts district before Jan Perry arrived! Now it's a commercial incubus for any artist, and at triple the price if they actually want to live there! Only the Yuppies can afford it now!

Jan Perry has allowed the her district, the LA Arts District, to become an artist's worst nightmare that has driven many of the established artist out of the actual arts district. Me being one of them. That is not something I will
reward. Jan Perry did absolutely nothing to help the actual artists when we needed her. And believe me, I am only one of many artist that begged her office to get involved when an entire complex of artist's at 2121 7th Pl. were all evicted at once by a greedy developer who wanted to turn the artistic complex into expensive condos for Yuppies, but didn't do it properly according to condo conversion laws. Jan Perry's office did nothing but give us lip service.

Then in my very next loft, when the self serving republican owners of Wurstkuche Restaurant illegally moved in and started to use the legal AIR loft directly next to my next studio, illegally for their restaurant next door. Jan Perry and her office did nothing to help me or any of the artist around me! I was forced to file law suits against Wurstkuche's sleazy republican owners Joseph Pitruzzelli and Tyler Wilson as well as the building's self serving slumlord, Paul Solomon. I finally moved after two years of fighting both of them in court, rather then being able to concentrate on just being an artist and living in peace!!! And all Jan Perry has done is encouraged the continuation of the over commercialization of the Los Angeles arts district that continues to chase away the actual artist! She has done nothing for the actual artist's in the Los Angeles arts district except displace us in favor of developers and commercial business. I don't know about you, but I want a mayor that cares more about the people then republican corporations!

And FYI, to date, the owners of Wurstkuche are continuing to illegally use that Artist loft next to their restaurant as a 24 hour commercial warehouse with no proper permits what so ever! But because of Jan Perry and the city of Los Angeles' appeasing big business over the actual artist in her arts district, there are no more artist around Wurstkuche to complain anymore. And this is in the heart of the Arts District! That is Jan Perry's legacy!

Jan Perry should be any artist's last choice for Mayor of Los Angeles! I know she's mine.
