Quotes from Governor Gary Johnson:

You waste your vote if you vote for a candidate you don't believe in.

I'm the only candidate who doesn't want to bomb Iran.

I'm the only candidate who wants to balance the budget. (He is one of 4 governors who did so and he did for 8 years.)

I'm the only candidate wants to get out of Afghanistan now

I'm the only candidate who wants to repeal the Patriot Act

I'm the only candidate who wants to end the drug wars (which cost trillions of dollars, are family busters, and deny tax income to the states from nonworking prisoners)

We are not a shining city on the hill but the bullies of the world.

The only reason to invade any country is if we are attacked.

The Republican and Democratic candidates have raised 1 billion each... 2 billion dollars. I have been running a campaign on 2 million dollars.

Let's make the Federal Reserve transparent.

The other candidates want you to believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and the Easter bunny. (He went on to describe the financial crisis.)

I want to cut 43% from military spending which would bring the US back to the level it was in 2003.

Every face on Mount Rushmore was a third party candidate at one point or another.

Footnote:

Both Johnson and Romney vetoed a lot. Johnson vetoed 2000 times and was overridden 200 times. He was elected twice in a state which had 2 of 3 Democratic registrants. Romney vetoed 844 times and was overridden 707 times.

The ACLU gave Romney 0 liberty torches, Obama some and Johnson 21 of 24 liberty torches. http://www.aclulibertywatch.org/ALWCandidateReportCard.pdf

§Why third parties are needed to end "lesser evilism"

by 5% protest vote for G. Johnson

Friday Nov 2nd, 2012 2:21 PM

The third parties (Green, Libertarian, Peace and Freedom, etc...) have once again been marginalized by the Republicans and Democrats. We are told by Obama supporters that we must vote for the "lesser evil" Democrats or face the wrath of the "worst evil" Republicans. This sort of logic will not get people very far, as both the military-industrial complex and agribusiness will be the puppetmasters as they support these two status quo parties with lobbying. We can expect either Obama or Romney to answer to the corporations that sponsored their countless attack ads against each other.

Would you rather be killed by Jason (Friday 13th) or Micheal Myers (Halloween)?

Isn't Jason the nicer of the two serial killers? Shouldn't we vote to be killed by Jason instead of Micheal Myers?

Following the bailout of Wall Street megabanks by GW Bush, Obama simply continued the process begun by Bush and kept on bailing out the banks despite verbal promises of change.

If Jason were able to talk, would he not tell us that the next Friday the 13th he would behave himself and bring flowers to the graves of all his previous victims instead of creating a fresh batch of headless corpses?

If the third parties are marginalized into eternity we are guaranteed two parties that will both be getting funding from corporations and will only serve them.

On another related subject, should Mayor Bloomberg be taken seriously when he says that the NYC marathon MUST continue to save face with the international community without removing any emergency personal from their ongoing work of recovery?

The claim made by NYC Mayor Bloomberg is that "No storm recovery efforts will be hindered by the police and paramedics who are stationed along the marathon route."

If that isn't a bold faced lie, then what is? How stupid does Bloomberg think we are? Why not postpone the NYC marathon for two weeks until the crisis after the storm is lessened. Emergency personal are also under stress and should focus their energy on recovery efforts, NOT trying to police a marathon.

In the end it is about ego satisfaction "can't keep NYC down" etc... and getting money from corporate sponsors. Compassion for the countless refugees in Staten Island is missing, we've got a marathon to run!!
