Fracking is a simple word but the destruction and contamination of what are Natural Lands and personal properties and USA national parks is much bigger and more complicated.
At the Hammer Museum Forum, two very knowledable and involved activists spoke to a full audience who sat transfixed and then who became activated and angry at what shared. In our very own Be-Safe-Don’t-Worry-Los-Angeles -City-of-politicians-and-angels.
FRACKING is already breaking up the land in Baldwin Hills, while we casually pretend we are not endangered by the EARTHQUAKE fault-lines that are constantly reported to be ready to break open Again !

Chemicals will pollute our lands after which our agriculture will carry that further into our food supplies and dust and become airborne maybe too.
The profiteers will insure with new laws, deregulations and government policies that they “deserve and must” continue doing whatever profits them, not The People, not The Land, not Nature, not Earth.
Fracking will cut into our Wild West and every other state in what is called our “union” of states protected by federal lobbyist-bought-congress-and-politicians.
And when continually ingrained and in control, our voices will falter and become less able to even question, much less regulate or control what AFFECTS every single living being on this plant, not just in Baldwin Hills, not just in LA or CA but everywhere …. profiteers are global and they refuse to stop, if allowed to continue to get their grips and fracturing machinery and policies in OUR earth.
Petitions are available for gathering signatures to send to [yes, mostly corrupt but so called “voted in as represent- atives” of The People] = your government officials.

And since Fracking is not limited to our small town here, contact those you know in other states that are also endangered or propositioned to allow this scary extraction of ‘gases’ in a unhealthy and kill-the-earth-f_k-it-give-me -the-cash-gas! manner.
Share what you know with everyone any where, here or elsewhere. Send them your information.
Create your own petition or make a flyer for Your Own Neighborhood, or your Church, or your Organization, make it local, make it grass-rooted-in-your-own-life-and-place.
Don’t pretend you cant. Don’t say you don’t care. You will later if not yet. Baldwin Hill may be ‘far from my place’ but you can be assured the side-effects and proliferation of destruction to get more OUT of our earth for quick short-term-use-and-profits will soon come to your front door and leak inside as well.
When you turn on your faucet, it may not immediately be lit on fire, but your innards and body and children will have the contained effects, and it will be a long time until some CDC or scientific test will admit, “oh, we did not realize it exposed all those people too….oh…we are Not Liable nor At Fault….it must be something else..” .
Sure. Too late.
Do something. Now. Stop Fracking. In any back yard, not even yours …yet.
