These were taken before their protest. There was a counterprotest of a wide range of anarchists, liberals, leftists, communists, socialists, religious people, and anti-racists. Things got kind of heavy later in the day. The NSM walked away in shame, with their LAPD police escord.
The NSM (National Socialist Movement) is a white supremacist group that self-identifies as fascist, Nazis, and seem to worship Hitler. Their flag is a hybrid that looks like the "stars and bars" Confederate states flag, the US flag, a European herald, with a large Nazi-style swastika in the center. So that gives you some idea of what they're about. They are known for trying to organize people on the far right to join with their racist political faction.
They retain the "socialist" aspect of their name and support some kind of welfare state, for "citizens". Their definition of citizens includes only white people, of course, and the deportation of non-white people (which includes Jews). Their political economic program is populist, and also a mess.
Recently, a former member of NSM, JT Ready, killed his girlfriend, three other family members, and then himself. The sad and unusual fact - his girlfriend was half-Mexican.
