‎#OCCUPYCV #OWS URGENT

Occupy Coachella Valley had its first victory last night when the City of Palm Desert conceded to our demands that they provide us an alternative spot within the park that meets our requirements: bathrooms, visible to the public, and dry.

They originally said no to this reasonable request, but in the last hour broke their own laws and conceded to our demands.

However, the city believes that it can still put a time limit on our expression of free speech and peaceful assembly.

PLEASE JOIN US TODAY, OCT. 25, AT PALM DESERT CIVIC PARK AT 11 AM.

At noon, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department will begin quashing the First Amendment rights of these peaceful and non-violent protesters.

BRING THE NOISE. ANSWER THE CALL.

PALM DESERT CIVIC PARK. OCT 25. NOON.

ADDENDUM: LOCAL MEDIA BLACKOUT OF #OCCUPYCV

We heard reports that the some in the local media is reporting in their morning reports that we dispersed last night. This is not true. As stated above, the demonstrators moved to a far more publicly visible area of Palm Desert Civic Park next to San Pablo and within view of College of the Desert.

Hundreds of motorists are currently seeing our encampment at Palm Desert Civic Park in a publicly viewable next to San Pablo.

We are requesting everyone to monitor local media and keep them accountable! We are requesting people to contact the station managers and let them know their if their reporters are being lazy and doing a disservice to their community by spreading misleading and factually incorrect reports.
