Will Kaufman is a professor of American literature and culture at the University of Central Lancashire, England. His books include "American Culture in the 1970s" and "The Civil War in American Culture."

Will Kaufman takes a look at folk singer Woody Guthrie's political activism throughout the Great Depression, World War II, the Cold War, the Korean War, the McCarthy era, and the Civil Rights era. The singer-songwriter is best known for his song, "This Land Is Your Land." This event was hosted by Barnes & Noble Booksellers in New York City.
