KAMALA HARRIS TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS: DROP DEAD

Kamala Harris has gone back on her pledge to help domestic violence victims. Her backtracking is putting lives in danger.

Today, an effort was made by concerned citizens to convince the office of the California Attorney General to save the lives of domestic violence victims behind the Orange Curtain. Kamala’s office let concerned citizens know it would do absolutely nothing to help protect the victims and even hung up on one victim.

In Orange County there is no enforcement of domestic violence laws. Police turn away victims and tell them to file civil actions. District Attorney Tony Rackauckas will not prosecute serial batterers. The lives of the victims do not matter.

Today a judge in Orange County’s Lamoreaux Justice Center ordered representatives for a 93 year old victim to show cause why the nonrelative who tried to kill her a year ago should not have access to his victim. The woman was crippled and almost killed by the man. His wife is currently in danger of dying from the medical effects of his violence. The assailant cut the wife’s health insurance after his attempts to kill her left her health hanging in the balance. With the two victims dead the batterer might profit nicely. Nobody will help the victims. Their blood will be on Kamala's hands if the assailant succeeeds and her office continues Kamala's stance of non-interference.

The courts have given rich assailants the right to terrorize their victims day after day. In the case above the victims have gotten unenforceable restraining orders against their assailant. In Orange County all restraining orders are unenforceable.

In 2010 Kamala Harris promised to use her office to help domestic violence victims. Now she has openly turned her back on them and put them in danger of dying.
