Coronado Police Department subjects an African American victim of robbery and assault by a white woman to dehumanizing, racist behavior by treating her as the suspect and threatening her to not film them and even saying that they reason why they do not like her holding the camcorder in her hand is because they "Fear she will attack them" and "That is why they wanted to see if she has a criminal record".

Here is my story. Basically, I was the victim of a robbery and assault/ attack at Danny's Bar and Grill in Coronado Island. When the police showed up, they automatically treated me as the suspect.

I had to go down to the police station to initiate a complaint. A detective purportedly worked on it and he said, "If you see her, call us and we will automatically arrest her". As you will see, that did not happen. They automatically treated ME as the suspect. This happened on Memorial Day Weekend, 2011 on a Saturday.

Attached is the tape and below is an account of the story. Please check into this. This is why we can not trust the police. This is why the 2nd amendment is so important.

Thank you for listening to my story.

Account of What Took Place:

I want to bring to your attention a case of civil rights abuse and misconduct both by Danny's Bar and Grill in Coronado Island, and the Coronado PD. Two separate incidents occurred where with the first I was the victim of an assault and robbery and Danny's Bar and Grill by the bar regulars and staff, which is predominately white and the Coronado PD, who treated me as a suspect namely because of the color of my skin and because the perp was a blonde white woman who robbed me. They refused/ did not file a police report despite my telling them that it involved both assault and robbery. I found out this fact only when I went to speak to Sgt. Boyd, the senior sgt. He helped to initiate my case, with Det. Cedano being the lead contact. The second time, which I have on video, occurred this past weekend while I was in Coronado Island on May 28, 2011 in which, as advised by Det. Cedano, who was working on the case from earlier, that if I saw the woman a blonde hair lady in her late 30's to early 40's to immediately call th e police and that they will arrest her. When I called, as you will hear on tape, I was treated as the suspect and they refused to arrest her. Below is the account of both incidents, with the first listed at the top and the second listed at the bottom. In attachments are videos from the May 28, 2011 incident. My name is Raven Williams and I can be reached at ---------. Thank you. Incident 1: On Feb. 13, 2011, at around 2:30am at Danny's Bar and Grill, I was talking with a man who appeared to be in his early to late 30's. I was told that he was in the Air Force. At some point in the conversation, his temper flared and it became racial, with him talking about, "Blacks feel entitled," "Blacks want everything to go their way," etc. At one point, he almost said the "N" word, to which I stopped him. During his temper flaring, a woman who identified herself as his girlfriend, late 20's to early 30's, jumped in my face and started yelling at me, "He ain't racist," etc. I noticed at this point the whole bar chimed in and started to gang up on me at this point. The whole altercation took place at the side rail of the bar where the bartender is. At this point, I noticed that I was being squeezed in. A corpulent woman who appeared to be in her late to mid 20's, Caucasian, jumped in between us. I could hear shouts of, "Get the fuck out," "Get the hell out," all around the bar being directed at me. The girlfriend pulled down the top part of my sarong, exposing my breasts. This happened 3 more times by unseen hands during the whole altercation. I was squeezed in and my hand, arms were held by a Caucasian female with faux long blonde hair who appeared to be in her late 30's to early 40's. She said she was from Las Vegas and I also believe she said she was a wife of an Air force captain according to a witness. The faux blonde woman kept yelling at me to, "Get the hell out," while squeezing me in. Scared of the upcoming potential for violence, I pulled out my camcorder, a mino ultra HD camcorder. Someone, presumably the blonde lady and a couple of others, perhaps the lady in front of me, put their hands on my purse to hinder me from pulling it out. I pulled it out and I could see hands taking it away from me, out my hand. The blonde lady, who was directly flanking me to my left took it out of my hand. That is when I pulled for my pepper spray. I heard someone announce that, "I had a dangerous weapon," and that is when the barmaid, Tony, took the pepper spray out of my hand. I then proceeded to get my cellphone to call the police, and that is when the barmaid snatched it out of my hand. When the gang dispersed, Tony, the bartender, returned my cellphone back to me. Distraught and in shock, that is when I proceeded to call the police long after the patrons were gone. Of note, a Caucasian male in his 50's to 60's who superficially helped me through this ordeal, was verbally attacked and berated by a man wearing a blue stocking cap, shirtless with a distinct voice reminiscent of Jesse Ventura, the former wrestler. He called the man an old perv and referred to me as an "outsider." Now, I have come there every blue moon and I am familiar with some of the bartenders and regulars. I have even spoke to the blue stocking cap male on many occasions on friendly terms. Studying the "regulars," I can only presume that my categorization in his eyes was that I was African American, which all the regulars are not. I also want to note that the blonde haired lady smacking my gludious maximus three times prior to the incident taking place. When the police arrived, it was two officers, Officer Hardy Badge #1018 and Officer Bautista, a Filipina woman. When they arrived, they basically treated me as if I was the criminal. They wanted to run my name through the computer to check for any criminal charges. Officer Hardy, at one point when I was nowhere near my car, tried to hit me with a DUI by asking, "Had I been drinking?" He then said that I kept on changing my story. I was told by the officers that I could not get in my car - even if it was not to turn it on - or else they will hit me with a DUI. This was without doing a breathalyzer test or the nystagmus test. Being that I was in such an extreme case of shock with no one to have my back, I didn't know what to do. They allowed a perverted, supposed "do gooder" to take me with him without checking up on me to see if I was alright. The next day, when I spoke to Officer Boyd, he told me that a report was never filed. On top of that, they, the other Officers, wrote down that they only spoke to 3 witnesses, who just happened to be my attackers, and not the 4th witness who was actually objective in the whole incident. On top of that, a robbery was never filed though I told Officer Hardy and Officer Bautista profusely that I had been robbed. Bautista then said, "There is nothing we can do." Incident 2: On May 28, 2011 at approx. As you will hear on the tape, the cops again basically treated me as the suspect while I was being harassed and slandered by the predominately white staff and bar patrons. You can hear the woman, the female white cop, telling me in a demanding tone to "Sit down". Despite the fact, as you will hear, that they said they spoke to Det. Cedano that night, they requested that I give them my ID so that they could, "Match and make sure that the report was mine". Really, it was to check me out and find out if I had a criminal record, as you will read and see later on. Interestingly enough, I never provided nor did they ask me for it again. The lead officer, David Craig, asked me if I had a criminal record. You can also hear him demand that I put my camcorder not the one that was stolen, but a later one I brought, down because he fears that I will hit him with it. He also says that he doesn't know if I have a criminal record or not, h ence why he asked earlier. Throughout the entire time none of them offer to escort me into the place so that I can point out the suspect. As you will hear, I give the female cop a description of the woman: a white woman with blonde hair wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. The female cop at first says that they could not find a blonde white female with a white tank top and blue jeans, only a blonde white female wearing a tank top. Then she changes it to white female wearing a white t shirt. To add insult to injury, I was told that they were able to get her information from her license even though they said she was not there. This was after I pushed them for a long time. How could they get her info from a license if she was not there? When I asked that, they refused to divulge the source, proving it was fishy and that she was in fact there but they refused to do their job and arrest her on the word of myself, a Black American woman.
