In World War II, corporations paid 50% more than individuals and families. By the time Reagan left office, individuals and corporations paid four times more. The jobs crisis is deep and structural.
The revenue and tax avoidance problem is cast as an overspending problem. Greedy teachers and firefighters are pillories while speculators and financiers are called "system relevant" and ignored.
