On Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Irvine's Great American Write-In, women were shocked to find batterers in charge of the Peace Coalition table. "Beating up women is not peaceful," one onlooker said.

So why is the Orange County Peace Coalition promoting domestic violence? One answer is that one of the batterers has computer skills and computer skills trump peace. Some of the victims had been members of the Peace Coalition and those members feel betrayed by this new alliance between the OCPC and violent men.

A concern has arisen in the past regarding batterers running the Internet groups for the peace coalition and having access to donations to the group.

Webster's dictionary defines peace as:

The Orange County Peace Coalition seems to have found a new definition of the word "peace."
