Some notes and observations on the insurrection in Egypt

by General Joe Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011 at 7:53 PM

"The US is attempting to appear to support “democratic rights.” Mubarak will leave and the US will trumpet a great “victory for democracy and the Egyptian people.” If the masses are fooled by this, little will change. It is the current ruling clique that must be deposed from power. And this is the deepest desire of the Egyptian nation. The U.S. has chosen Omar Suleiman to be there’re next strong man and faithful servant in Egypt. In all likelyhood, the Egyptian people will reject this cynical move."

Some notes and observations on the insurrection in Egypt:

Yes, it is an insurrection not a revolution, as yet.

The Egyptians are calling for a revolution, A complete overthrow of the existing institutions which serve only the desires of the ruling class of “rich” who have oppressed the majority of Egyptians in order to maintain they’re elite status by serving the dictates of international capital, the US, and Israel. Saving the primacy of this class is the primary policy goal of Imperialism (the US political class is working triple time on this 24/7).

The US is attempting to appear to support “democratic rights.” Mubarak will leave and the US will trumpet a great “victory for democracy and the Egyptian people.” If the masses are fooled by this, little will change. It is the current ruling clique that must be deposed from power. And this is the deepest desire of the Egyptian nation.

The U.S. has chosen Omar Suleiman to be there’re next strong man and faithful servant in Egypt. In all likelyhood, the Egyptian people will reject this cynical move.

The Imperial forces of the U.S. and Israel may attempt to unleash a bloodbath on the masses in Egypt, or perhaps “some new 911” will be called upon to save this dying order of Imperial theft from which the whole world has suffered for so long. Who knows?

All people of good will the world over have the duty to study deeply these events. They are momentous indeed. How this plays out will almost certainly have dramatic implications for the future of humanity.

An excellent source for analysis on this situation is www.wsws.org And there are many others such as www.antiwar.com or www.indymedia.org or www.globalresearch.ca These sites have different perspectives but get most of the essentials our rulers work tirelessly to obscure from us very well.

Please spread widely all over the world. Let’s not “get fooled again.” General Joe
