The son of a mother that was a nurse for more than 35 years and a father that was in construction all of his life, Alexander understands the challenges that working people are faced with on a daily basis. Today, I am asking the membership of the Peace and Freedom Party to support Stewart Alexander for President in 2012. Stewart Alexander has demonstrated a strong commitment to the work of the Peace and Freedom Party and the socialist movement.

There are many reasons why Stewart Alexander should receive the PFP Presidential Nomination in 2012 and elected President of the United States. First, he will be a president that will fight for working class people. Stewart Alexander has a strong commitment to the ideals of the Peace and Freedom Party and has demonstrated that commitment for more than a decade. As stated in our Platform, Alexander is committed to socialism, democracy, ecology, feminism and racial equality. Alexander supports our efforts to organize toward a world where cooperation replaces competition, a world where all people are well fed, clothed and housed, where all women and men have equal status; where all individuals may freely endeavor to fulfill their own talents and desires; a world of freedom and peace where every community retains its cultural integrity and lives with all others in harmony.

Stewart Alexander is one of us and was raised in a working family. The son of a mother that was a nurse for more than 35 years and a father that was in construction all of his life, Alexander understands the challenges that working people are faced with on a daily basis. The many challenges in his life have made him a determine advocate for working people.

Stewart Alexander has been in politics for 30 years. During the 80s, Alexander was a political activist working for the Florida Consumer Action Network as a state environmental lobbyist. In 1989, Alexander was a candidate for Mayor of Los Angeles campaigning on redevelopment issues. In 2006, Alexander was a candidate for California Lieutenant Governor and in 2008 he was the Vice Presidential Nominee for the Socialist Party USA. In 2010, Alexander ran as a candidate for California Governor with the Peace and Freedom Party. Now he is ready to be President of the United States in 2012.

I am confident that Stewart Alexander will be a president that understands the needs of working people and will deliver. Please join me in supporting his Presidential Nomination in 2012 for the Peace and Freedom Party.
