Americans believe that they are in the top, but they are already falling under the weight of his war machine.
The History is there to prove that all military bureaucracy acquires own life. This happens for two reasons:
1) the military bureaucracy has to do politics to get budgets and;
2) it has to do businesses to supply the troops and maintaining satisfied the soldiers.
The political activity of the military bureaucracy pokes the ambition of the military ones of governing all the whole time. The businesses foment the corruption that enriches commanders and it impoverishes the society.
As smaller the bureaucracy military, larger is the chances of the society of following existing in civil and external peace. As larger the bureaucracy more military external and internal wars the society will have to face until entering in fast decline (like Nazi Germany) or slow decline (like imperial Rome and USA).
