4 Days to Vote: Yes on 19, 21, 24, 25, Peace & Freedom or Green

by Get Out The Vote (GOTV) Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010 at 5:27 AM

The future is in your hands and you must act to make it better. One way to act is to vote Peace & Freedom or Green to promote serious change. The Democrat-Republicans do not even bother to promote anything worthwhile anymore as capitalism is in such a state of decay that the capitalist class no longer has any crumbs to toss to the workingclass, the 80% of us who sell our labor for less than $77,000 a year. In addition to P&F and Green candidates, it is important that you vote on all of the propositions, including Yes on 19, 21, 24 and 25.

To vote Peace & Freedom or Green is to vote for peace, labor, civil rights, gay marriage and the environment.

You can vote on an absentee ballot Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Oct 30, 31 and Nov 1 and either at your County Registrar or at a polling place on a regular ballot or if there is a question about your registration, a provisional ballot, on Tuesday, Nov 2. Voting absentee is done either at home if you have received an absentee ballot or at the County Registrar. If you must go to your County Registrar, please sign up to be a permanent absentee voter so you never forget to vote. You do not have to have any reason to be an absentee voter in California. If you vote at home this weekend or Monday, YOU MUST WALK YOUR BALLOT to the County Registrar or on Tuesday, to a polling place. It is too late to mail any absentee ballot. PLEASE VOTE.

Here is more election information. Please take the time to read it, watch some videos and READ BOTH OF YOUR ELECTION BOOKLETS, ONE FROM THE STATE AND ONE FROM YOUR COUNTY.

Green Party at http://www.cagreens.org

You cannot expect to have peace and progress if you keep voting for the twin parties of war and fascism, the Democrat-Republicans. The Democratic candidate for governor, Jerry Brown, not only opposes Prop 19 legalizing marijuana, supports a peripheral canal to drain Northern California of our water, and supports continued attacks on the workingclass in the form of budget cuts, he also supported a charter military school while mayor of Oakland (1999-2007). Charter schools are by definition anti-labor and do not solve the problems of education in the workingclass schools. Military and education are antithetical and the same is true for military and culture. Only with peace can we have culture and a well-rounded education. See

He also was mayor of Oakland (1999-2007) when he sent the Oakland police against the peace demonstrators at the Oakland docks who shot the peaceniks with wooden and rubber bullets on April 7, 2003.
