FCGOA Defeats UGSOA Once Again 70 to 23 in a Humiliating Defeat at the DOJ

by UGSOA / FCGOA NEWS Thursday, Sep. 09, 2010 at 8:11 PM

A Strong Labor Union requires that it's members understand that the Union is theirs and that the Union leadership be attuned to the desires of the members. Obviously UGSOA President Desiree Sullivan doesn't understand this...BUT FCGOA Does. That's Why the 340 Officers Working at both The Department of Justice DOJ and ICE Headquarters Voted for FCGOA.

On 8/27/2010 Over 100 UGSOA Local 44 members Working at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Headquarters in Washington D.C. voted in favor of Disaffiliating From UGSOA by Joining FCGOA.

On 9/7/2010 over 240 UGSOA Local 44 members working at the Department of Justice DOJ also followed suit with their former UGSOA Local 44 brother and sisters by also voting in favor of Disaffiliating From UGSOA to join the FCGOA International Union.

Since FCGOA's formation back on 3/18/2010, FCGOA has been on fire winning election after election after election now gaining over 800 members in just a five month period. Including 410 officers working at over 100 locations for US Associates in New York and the National Defense University in Washington DC.

FCGOA is also awaiting the results of another NLRB election it filed back in April 2010. This unit consisting of 50 officers working for FJC Service at several federal buildings including the FBI building, the IRS building, SS offices and various ports in Texas are presently represented by the UGSOA. The reason for the delay in this election is the fact that the UGSOA is refusing to allow the opening of 8 challenged ballots from one of the locations despite several rulings by the NLRB that these officers are eligible to vote. The case is presently on its final appeal by UGSOA at the NLRB in Washington DC. which should rule shortly.

What is making FCGOA such a success in just a short period of time?

FCGOA President Guy James accredits its quick success to a number of things, including: hard work, long hours, knowing how to listen, being visible and accessible to our potential members by visiting shops and holding meetings which leads to better and open communications between the FCGOA leadership and membership, lower dues, having a great member organizing committee who are willing to go the extra mile to talk and explain to those we are seeking to organize the benefits of joining FCGOA and of course having a great law firm.

"Now add to the mix the UGSOA is in a downward spin filled with scandals, financial and service problems, lack of experienced representatives with high ranking Executive Board members and its Former President jumping ship, and you can clearly see why these 340 UGSOA members and soon to be 400 members once Texas is decided are now Joining FCGOA as an alternative to UGSOA." stated James.
