Concern mounts for a dedicated civil rights activist

Recently, an activist chairwoman of a popular Southern California Democratic club was beaten and threatened with death. Many of her fellow activists felt that she would be safe after she obtained a long term restraining order against the perpetrator. Tonight, everyone calling her phone is getting a disconnected message and she seems unreachable. Did her assailant win out?

There is a growing concern. The chairwoman has expressed to friends that her assailant has also threatened or harmed her mother and daughter. Her assailant has continued to deliver threats to her despite a restraining order. Now the chairwoman is unreachable and her phone has been cut off.
