NAACP Condemns Tea Party Movement Racism

Los Angeles.—Better late the never?

The country's largest civil rights organization in the US, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has passed a resolution that condemns racism within the tea party movement today, July 13.

NAACP Delegates approved the resolution Tuesday during the annual convention of in Kansas City. It came to the heels of the Federal government filing of the case against DB 1070 or the racist Arizona Law against immigrants that is scheduled to take effect this July 27.

NAACP President Ben Jealous also according t the news, has blasted the tea party leadership, saying they need to "be responsible members of this democracy and make sure they don't tolerate bigots or bigotry among their members."

Tea Party Movement Not Racist?

But Local tea party organizer Alex Poulter says he's seen no evidence of racism in the movement. But claims of racism have swirled around the tea party.

In March, three congressmen said some tea party activists yelled a racial epithet as they walked to the Capitol. They even carry tauting slogans about race and focus their attacks on the present Balck president of the US-Barack Obama.

It seems that the NAACP and other anti-racist organizations flow the lead of people in Washington who are taking their time against the racist backlash and the growth of the Tea Party Movement in the US.

It might be too late if they spring into action later when the tide has turned and another Civil War like that of 1861.

it's an economic issue, not race

by Race Pimping Pete Thursday, Jul. 15, 2010 at 2:39 AM

nice try when the majority is against this invasion because of economic issues and diluted wage and exploitative power driven by Ford foundation dupe-a-mobs and opportunistic right wing parasites. Like Sara what's her name from Alaska.
