The magazine “Pediatrics” published the results of investigations, which show that hypnosis is an effective treatment for functional abdominal pain. It has such method like irritable bowel syndrome. The investigations of the University of North Carolina and Duke University Medical Center say that the idea to make CD with the relaxation program appeared because of a lack of therapists.

Thirty children between six and fifteen years age participated in the investigations.

Half of these children listened the program on CD every day during 8 weeks. The other part of children got usual treatment. 73.3% of children who listened to CD informed that the pain reduced in two times and just 26.7% of those who took usual treatment told that pain reduced.
