Political leader targeted

Thefts and pranks committed against the Chairman of the Patrick Henry Democratic Club have increased in seriousness.

Earlier today, she was lucky to escape with her life when she discovered the bicycle she was riding downhill had been the subject of tampering. The dangerous prank was only the latest in a series of incidents.

The popular club's chairman's communication ability has been noticeably limited following the recent theft of her large portable computer on which she did most of her online communications. The computer was a gift from her 90 year old mother. Others in her club are working to fill in the gap. Yesterday was election day, indicating the theft may have been timed to have political consequences.

As the Patrick Henry Chairman, she has led her organization in taking controversial stands. Some consider Patrick Henry to be the most effective club in America when it comes to lobbying officials. Community leaders and activists often check the club's positions on the issues before going to the voting booth. At the same time, the chairman has shied away from publicity and asked supporters to focus on the work of others within her club.

Could the vandalism and thefts be political? Who has targeted this courageous leader?
