Anti-Abortion & Anti-Gay Marriage Republican Cal Candidates; Feeble Democrats

by Had Enough Thursday, Jun. 10, 2010 at 5:29 AM

In a very low voter turnout election, the June governor's primary, California Republicans voted for 2 businesswomen who are anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage, Meg Whitman for Governor and Carly Fiorina for US Senate. Meg Whitman's anti-immigrant ads would make Hitler proud. And we can be sure Democratic candidate for governor Jerry Brown, a lawyer, will not touch any of these issues as he is also reactionary, having promoted a military charter school while mayor of Oakland. Ms. Israel, Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer, will also be silent on these issues. This garbage is called the leadership of this backward country.

All of the Democratic and Republican candidates are staunchly pro-Israel, the US military base that exists to protect US oil profits in the Middle East.

All of the above-named candidates are millionaires; no millionaire can represent the workingclass.

Prop 14 had better be overturned in the courts and may very well be as all the parties oppose it. Meanwhile, we still have Peace & Freedom and the Green Party on the November ballot running candidates for governor and US senate. Both parties support the Palestinian liberation struggle and all of their candidates support women's right to abortion and gay marriage. None is a millionaire. Carlos Alvarez of P&F and Laura Wells of the Greens are far better candidates for governor and Marsha Feinland of P&F and Duane Roberts of the Greens are far better candidates for US senate.

So far, the Secretary of State is reporting 3.5 million voted, out of 27 million adults in California. The votes may go up to 5 million. 13 million voted in November 2008. This is what Americans call practicing democracy. They even kill the people of the world in the name of this farce.
