The short arms of the LA City Council are the 90 local Neighborhood Councils. Here are 2 on the westside. Find your own and get involved in any way you want. Now.

Both Westwood and Venice NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCILS HAVE ELECTIONS FOR THEIR BOARDS COMING UP SOON.

You can attend their general meetings to learn more and find out how to become a candidate or find a candidate of your choice while there too.

just voted in their Board on 4/12/2010....see their website for details.
and ATTEND MEETINGS THAT ARE YOUR LOCAL COUNCILS, wherever you are located. Know your
neighborhood and get involved or get to know who
is doing what “for you” with the miniscule funds but political influence these elected members have.

Venice elected last Sunday, 4/12, so it’s a bit late to vote there but your voice can still be heard and your Public Comment input given too.

Tuesday, April 20
• 7-10:30pm –Venice Neighborhood Council
(VNC) Board Meeting. (third Tuesday of the
month.) Westminster Auditorium.

Sunday, April 25
• 7-10pm – VNC presents the environmental
film, “End of the Line,” screening and community
discussion at the Electric Lodge. Free.

• Free Food Distribution at Vera Davis Center.
2nd & 4th Mondays, 12:30pm.

Free bread distribution daily after 11 am at Boardwak and Dudley, 1 block south of Rose Ave.
