The EPCC News based in Los Angeles today learned from news sources in the Philippines that the official of the Guardians International Inc., a nationwide fraternal brotherhood organization and a known paramilitary group, has declared the group’s support for the presidential candidacy of the Lakas-Kampi’s Gilberto Teodoro Jr.
The Guardian International is believed led by former Colonel now Senator Gringo Honasan. Honasan is close to Senator Enrile, the present Senate President a known supporter of President Arroyo.
This group has been involved in several coup attempts from Marcos to GMA regime since 1985.The Guardians, composed of civilians, government employees, active and retired police and military, claims a membership of more than one million in different parts of the country.

PARAMILITARY GROUP SUPPORTS TEODORO
Los Angeles- The EPCC News based in Los Angeles today learned from news sources in the Philippines that the official of the Guardians International Inc., a nationwide fraternal brotherhood organization and a known paramilitary group, has declared the group’s support for the presidential candidacy of the Lakas-Kampi’s Gilberto Teodoro Jr.

The Guardian support for Teodoro only confirmed the Enrile-Honasan connection.

As the Guardian said: “The decision has been reached by the Guardians national council during its recent meeting,” Guardians International head Nestor Gualberto, former chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), announced to over 6,000 members gathered at the Sentrong Pamilihan ng Produktong Agrikultura ng Quezon Foundation Inc. here Sunday afternoon. The group celebrated the "Guardians Day."
The announcement was greeted with wild applause and the raising of clenched fists by members, who came from different parts of the Calabarzon (Cavite-Laguna-Batrangas-Rizal-Quezon) region.
Teodoro, who was the guest speaker during the event, stood up from his seat on top of the makeshift stage and also raised a clenched fist in acknowledgement and appreciation of the declaration and display of support.
Its founders were former key officers of Philippine Guardian Brotherhood Inc. associated with Senator Gregorio Honasan. Political differences triggered the split and the eventual formation of the new group.
Lagging Behind, First In Line
Although lagging in major surveys, Teodoro has expressed optimism that he could still surpass his political opponents and finally emerge as the winner in the coming May elections.
“Like in a baccarat card game, I only have four but I can still ask for another deal while the other players who already have six can no longer ask for more,” he said with a mischievous laugh.
Teodoro was handpicked and annointed by PResident Arroyo herself as the LAKAS-KAMPI candidate. he who is supported by the US Defense Department is following the Magsaysay CIA staged route to power.
