The Echo Park Community Coalition (EPCC) and the Coalition for the Defense of immigrant Rights (CDIR) learned that leaders of the National Immigration Forum and Chair of the Reform Immigration for America Campaign met with President Obama and was joined by other immigrant rights leaders from grassroots, labor, and faith organizations for a meeting at the White House on next steps for comprehensive immigration reform legislation.

REAL IMMIGRATION REFORM ,FULL RIGHTS FOR ALL IMMIGRANTS!
Los Angeles—“ The test of the pudding is in the eating”
The Echo Park Community Coalition (EPCC) and the Coalition for the Defense of immigrant Rights (CDIR) learned that leaders of the National Immigration Forum and Chair of the Reform Immigration for America Campaign met with President Obama and was joined by other immigrant rights leaders from grassroots, labor, and faith organizations for a meeting at the White House on next steps for comprehensive immigration reform legislation.
They reported that they had a lively and straightforward meeting with the President and his staff. The immigrant leaders made clear that they expect him to keep his promise to overhaul our broken immigration system. We need a system that is fair, just, humane, and that serves our nation’s interests.
Mass Action in the offing.
The President indicated that his administration is committed to driving a bill forward in the spring of 2010. Based on the conversation, the leaders were optimistic and expecting aggressive and urgent action from the White House on comprehensive immigration reform before March 21st.
Again, the democrats are going to the motion of softening the blows to the volatile and angry immigrant rights movement. They want to disarm the March 21 mass action and the series of mass action nationwide. On March 27 there will be a big mass action in Los Angeles.
On March 21, ay, tens of thousands of Americans are prepared to take an unprecedented action carrying forward the President’s commitment to comprehensive immigration reform in Congress and finally fixing our broken immigration system.
Immigration Reform Now!
The EPCC and the CDIR calls for Congress to get moving. Immigration reform for America is long overdue, and it’s past time for the Republican Leadership to stop playing games and get on board with immigration legislation that is good for the economy, good for workers, and good for American families.
If the democrats fail now, they will deliver the country again to the greedy republicans once more and it will prove that democrat and the GOP have no differences what so ever. They are both sides of the coin, Both anti immigrant and racist!
This issue is an opportunity for the parties to work together and prove they can deliver for the American people. We want real immigration reform NOW!
