Now we can starve seeing beautiful space pictures!

"The reason that prevails in the science and in the technique, however, it just constitutes one of the faces of the rationality, called instrumental reason, the one that appealed to know that to do and how to do. Of anything it serves us, however, to investigate to do what for. That last domain requests the vital reason, field par excellence of the affectionate human relationships. Gone back to the sense of the life, the last ends of the existence, the humanity's destiny, that reason, however, it is dangerously impoverished." (HISTORY OF THE EDUCATION AND OF THE PEDAGOGY, Maria Lúcia de Arruda Aranha).

The pictures are wonderful, but it is inevitable to ask: So what to remove pictures of comets and of galaxies if right here, in the earth, the life is a big hell for more than 1,2 billion people (that live with less than 1 dollar a day) and a hell for 2,7 billion (that live with less than 2 dollars a day)? Would not it be more logical to use the money wasted in space pictures to reduce the people's suffering? How many dollars did cost each picture of this and how many lives the money of these pictures could save?
