Aged 70, Lynne Stewart has dedicated her life for the defense of the poor, of the Black community and for the struggle for justice.

The U.S. Government is unfairly accusing Lynne Stewart of being a terrorist and a traitor and is demanding a 30 years prison sentence for Lynne Stewart.

Please sign the petition and write to the President and to Lynne Stewart in prison.

The hearing will be held on December 2. There is no time to lose.

In the United States the National Lawyers Guild will organize demonstrations throughout the country.

and in particular, read the appellate brief, at

If it is too long, at least read the Table of Contents and Table of Authorities at the beginning so you get a good picture of the frame-up.

Barack Obama could have and should have dropped the charges and dismissed the case. Instead, he is continuing Bush's fascist prosecution of lawyers, just as he is continuing all other heinous fascist crimes of Bush. Your protests are needed now. When a society jails lawyers as political prisoners, which Lynne Stewart is, you can certainly call it a fascist society. Jailing 70-year-old Lynne Stewart, who has breast cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes, and was scheduled for a bladder operation (vital organ) is a death sentence. This is attempted murder by the US government of a workingclass lawyer. Other attorneys with whom she worked, such as Ramsey Clark (former US attorney general), did exactly the same things and were not prosecuted. This is a political frame-up, attacks on women lawyers, and racism, as she is married to a black man by whom she has children.
