The US –Arroyo Regime is guilty of criminal neglect. There are parallels between the hurricane Katrina and typhoon Ondoy specifically how the Philippine governments neglect the basic needs of the people while spending money for civil wars against the NPA and the Moros (MILF), foreign trips and personal profiteering. More than 25 provinces from Nothern Luzon to Bicol were affected by the floods. More than 400,00 people were homeless and hundreds are feared death. For cash and check donations please send it to: People'S CORE, 1610 Beverly Blvd. Suite No. 2 Los Angeles, CA 90026 or call (213) 241-0906 or check our website at peoplescore.net We will announce our drop-off points for material donations such as clothes, foot wears, medicines and others later.

Money are diverted to the pockets for bureaucrats while no money is spent for flood projects. Drainage or early warning system for PAGASA.

It’s just criminal for PAGASA to blame the people for watching telenovelas than watching the news. What is criminal is the PAGASA has no early warning system. Much more when they opened the floodgates of Angat and Binga dams in Bulacan and La MEsas Dam in Quezon City? People must have accountability!

Environmental destruction is caused by imperialism in Third World countries like the Philippines. For the first time in 40 years, a great flash floods submerged Manila and other areas. Up to now greater Manila area is 80$ submerged in water and more than 400,000 people were affected.

The approval of the Mining Act of 2005 opened the floodgates for more environmental destruction in the Philippines. The changes in the constitution that foreigners own 100% of land and corporations in the Philippines will open the country for more destructions fr0om floods, thyphoons and other calamities.

Overall environmental issues. Typhoons get worse and sea levels rise because of global warming. Massive quarrying and illegal logging and land conversions from farm lands to subdivisions in Montalban, San Mateo and Antipolo, Rizal and eastern Sierra Madre mountains contributed to the massive flooding in the Marikina. The opening of Ipo and Angat Dams in Bulacan added to the falsh floods!

The large reclamation projets in Manila Bay that build the giant malls contributed to the foods because Manila Bay is blocked by these giant reclamation projects.

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR CAUSE FOR THE PHILIPPINES!
