Thousands marched in solidarity up Broadway to the headquarters of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) in Los Angeles on Saturday to demonstrate for worker and immigration rights and for an end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Voters Evolt! photographed the demonstration and produced a video set to “Clandestino” by Manu Chao, who sings about a illegal immigrant who is persecuted by unjust laws and forced to live in the shadows just because he is seeking a better life. The “Black Hand” of Mano Negra refers to workers of color whose hidden hands turn the wheels of commerce. (2.5 minutes)
