Chanting “BROTHER EDDIE” a rowdy crowd of more than 150 supporters, friends and relatives that packed the fundraiser of Brother Eddie Villanueva formally launched the “Brother Eddie for President Movement “ in the United States, in a fundraiser dinner in Los Angeles, California last Sunday, April 26. Bro. Eddie Villanueva is the founder of the Jesus is Lord Church. The JIL has more than three million members and 26 churches in the Philippines and all over the world. This was the follow up of Bro. Eddie Villanueva’s formal acceptance of the challenge of different sectors in the Philippines to run as a presidential aspirant in the 2010 Presidential elections last March 23, 2009 at the Araneta Center. The launching was held in Casa Prinsesa Coffee Shop at 4527 New York, Eagle Rock, --a predominantly Filipino residential and business area in the city of Los Angeles.

BROTHER EDDIE VILLANUEVA FOR PRESIDENT MOVEMENT LAUNCHED IN THE UNITED STATES APRIL 26

Los Angeles-- Chanting “BROTHER EDDIE” a rowdy crowd of more than 150 supporters, friends and relatives that packed the fundraiser of Brother Eddie Villanueva formally launched the “Brother Eddie for President Movement “ in the United States, in a fundraiser dinner in Los Angeles, California last Sunday, April 26.

Bro. Eddie Villanueva is the founder of the Jesus is Lord Church. The JIL has more than three million members and 26 churches in the Philippines and all over the world. This was the follow up of Bro. Eddie Villanueva’s formal acceptance of the challenge of different sectors in the Philippines to run as a presidential aspirant in the 2010 Presidential elections last March 23, 2009 at the Araneta Center.

The launching was held in Casa Prinsesa Coffee Shop at 4527 New York, Eagle Rock, --a predominantly Filipino residential and business area in the city of Los Angeles.

Villanueva’s acceptance speech was followed by the induction of the Bangon Pilipinas-USA and the Brother Eddie for President Movement “ in the United States headed by Jay Valencia.

Jay Valencia is the President of the Bangon Pilipinas –USA. He was also the first elected mayor of Philippine Town Inc. and the First Filipino- American appointed special assistant to Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa when he was the California Speaker of the Assembly and also the first elected Filipino Administrative Vice President of United Healthcare Workers West. He is also the incumbent president of The Circulo Pampangueno of Southern California an umbrella organization of 22 towns in Pampanga, Philippines

Acceptance Speech

Brother Eddie, in his acceptance speech detailed how many times the Arroyo administration offered him different position in the cabinet. He also told them off and specifically stated that he must be morally convinced first of Arroyo’s “sincerity and seriousness about change and reforms”.

He said that in order to have systemic change the leaders “ must lead by example”. Also said he fear no one but god himself” thus quoting from the bible: for those who are corrupt “ he will not have a testimonial in paradise or in the Philippines when I become the president.”

The multi-ethnic crowd composed of Americans, Asians and Filipinos stayed long after the program and the fundraiser past 11:00 in the evening.

The Carson Choir, by Sarah Balabagan singing religious songs, provided musical numbers. Balabagan was a former OFW sentenced to die in the Middle East but was freed due to public outcry.
