VALENTINE”S DAY CELEBRATION IN FACLA, FEB.14
Los Angeles—The Filipino American Community of Los Angeles (FACLA) held an “Affair to Remember” in commemoration of Valentine’s Day last February 14 from 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM at the FACLA Social Hall.
The program was capped by the coronation of Mrs. Valentine- Mrs. Alicia Albano Parino; Miss Valentine Ms. Carolyn Pesquiza Sabas and Miss Teen Valentine Ms. Kimberly Padua Esliza.
The muses marched around the FACLA Hall with their escorts. The muses were crowned by Council Member of Carson City Elito Santarina who was the guest of honor at the said FACLA event. He also gave an inspirational speech.
The muses were also given sashes and trophies and were given a royal dance by their royal court. The invocation was given by Retired Superintendent Bess Bigornia.
FACLA President Rizalino Manuel gave a speech calling for community unity around FACLA. He also announced FACLA’s coming induction ball at the Kyodo Grand Hotel on April 4.
Acting as emcees were FACLA Board members Gloria Resureccio and Arturo P. Garcia while the whole FACLA community enjoyed the evening with social dancing and merrymaking for Valentine;s Day 2009.
