Claims by the federal government, and echoed by corporate media, that the massive bailout bill would protect homeowners like June from losing their homes are now known to be false. For most homeowners the requirements for receiving TARP funds are impossible to meet. Meanwhile banks are hording the taxpayer’s money they received that was intended to ease the credit crisis. Banks are refusing to help homeowners renegotiate their loan and stay in their homes.

June and her family have pursued every legal angle to try and save their home but now they could removed by force from their home at any time after midnight tonight.

June does not intend to give up her home without a fight and has said she will go as far as to chain herself to the house should the sheriffs come to evict her. She is also calling for supporters to come to her house and help her resist the eviction. June’s house is located at 10169 Presley Street in San Diego, zip code: 92126. If the eviction is ordered it is expected sometime early tomorrow morning around 6 am.

No sheriff came to June's home today. Sheriff had given notice that they would come today but did not appear. Sheriff department refused to explain or say when they might come. Eviction could still come at any time. A handful of supporters were there with June today. Local Fox TV news crews were also there at the home.

June is still determined to stay in her home. She will not leave the house for fear the sheriff will come and change the locks when she is gone. She is prepared to stay inside and wait it out.

There is still a call for more homeowners rights activists to come to June's aid. Many more are needed to help her resist should the sheriffs come.

There are reports that the lender has withdrawn the eviction notice for the time being pending the outcome of June’s Chapter 13 filing which took effect today. The legal team says evictions are not legal during the Chapter 13 process. June’s home is thought to be safe for the rest of the month while the Chapter 13 goes through. The situation is still uncertain however and the threat of eviction still looms. For now it seems June and her activist supporters have won a small victory.

A loose group of socially conscious activists are now organizing around June and others in the region to provide support and intercede to prevent foreclosures and stop evictions. One such group calling itself “Hands off our Homes” is working to create an eviction alert network of activists. A call-in campaign to the sheriffs department and the presence of both independent and corporate media at the home is thought to have been helpful in influencing today's outcome.

she's a real estate speculator with excellent pr skills. she had her home appraised for way more than it was worth, then used that money to speculate on a bunch of other homes. if home values had continued to rise, she would have made a bundle. while i admire anyone who can screw a bank out of a bunch of money, for activists in san diego to support a real estate speculator while thousands of working class families are being thrown out of their homes with no support from us seems like a lousy way to grow a movement."

The only thing she's a victim of is her own greed! June isn’t an innocent victim here of banks gone wild, although I would pay good money to see that video. She is a serial defaulter. Court documents show that she has purchased and lost seven homes in California for non-payment. She's a complete scammer and shame on you for pretending otherwise!
