WHO can reveal what happened at last KPFK - LSB meeting?

by sidestepper Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at 3:59 PM

KPFK meetings and decisions are not shared with 'us' the sponsors / shareholders/ public. Does anyone care to share what happened at last LSB meeting so we all can stay up to date and informed too ?

Please lose that suspiciousness and power-holding ploy of "insiders" and let us all know what is going on at KPFK -from the open LSB meetings...from the other committees too....what occured ? What is going on ?

were elections were discussed ? held ?

who were selected, elected, rejected ?

What was discussed ?

what decided ?

who said what ?

what is on next agenda ?

when is next meeting? Please it put on Indy calendar too. Let us all in, if at all possible. Inform us !

Let us all IN on OUR STATION and it's doings...it's financial problems and solutions...it's staff...the ones that are let go... or hired... or temporary 'out'....or....what else dont we all know...why is it all soooooo SECRET ?

Be TRANSPARENT ....for a 2009 change. please !
change !

Why we need web forums

by Susan2 Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at 11:43 PM

The Saturday meeting is why we need the web forums that "progressive" AGM Jim Lafferty cut off.

Presumably the meeting discussed several issues. Each of those issues should have spawned individual threads where KPFK listeners could discuss the specifics of particular issues. There people could also raise the issue of why the community hasn't been told of what happened at the meeting.

Web forums are precisely the form of internet community interaction system for these kinds of issues.

OPPS, looks like secrecy stil reigns at KPFK

by a sometimes listener now Friday, Jan. 23, 2009 at 2:29 PM

a request for info from the LSB has not had anyone who either reads LA INDY site or knows anyone who does or who cares to share or reveal any info about what is going at KPFK and their elections.....
here

and we all know for sure that KPFK's website is a dirth of actual relevant information about it's doing, only listing its own promos mostly and some calendar events, some of which are also incorrectly in location of venue.

so does this mean that KFPK gets to keep it's secrets only to those who attend any LSB meetings ?

and that anyone who has info or access is sworn to
censored secrecy so the same old same old can continue with no improvements,no changes, no suggestions or critiques ever made ?

this is progress?

this is FREE anything, especially free-speech?

guess we have actually "lost it" meaning the prior KPFK with mission to be transparent and honest and
better than NPR...which it is NO MORE...for a long time many listeners only listen to Democracy Now or a few chosen programs but runnnnnnnnnnn from the slanted biased limited repetitious programmers who hold on to their slots for umpteen years repeating their same diminishing beat.

oh well...
bye bye !
