AJLPP Supports Dec. 12 People’s Mass Actions Against Charter Change

Los Angeles- The Alliance-Philippines (AJLPP) National Coordinator Mario Santos vehemently condemns in the highest terms the GMA schemes to change the constitution by a constituent assembly she controlled,

Therefore, the AJLPP based in the United States and the Filipino American community also strongly and militantly supports the mass actions on December 12th against the charter change and against the imperial and fascist presidency of Gloria-Macapagal-Arroyo in Manila and the rest of the Philippines.

At the same time the AJLPP hailed the Thai people in their recent victory against the deposed Thai prime Minister Songchai who was ordered to quit by Thai Constitutional court for cheating in the elections.



The AJLPP applauds the concerted action by all sectors in opposing the charter change( Chacha) moves to perpetuate Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in power . The AJLPP is hopeful that there will be a massive outpour of protests as it was during the first quarter of the year on Lozada’s anti-corruption expose.

“PGMA and her cohorts are now shaking with the example of Thailand protests. The AJLPP also pointed that the Thai people like the Filipino people have a strong tradition and a long history of resistance against political oppressions against the Thai generals since the late 1970’s and corrupt politicians.

The AJLPP is very positive about the latest development that the broad united front of the religious, opposition and democratic forces is actively moving against GMA’ s charter change schemes.
