It looks like the chattering class doesn't want to see the connection the Wall Street Bailout and the Stimulus Bill Filibustered by Republicans
While everyone has focused on the Bush/Peolsi/Reid/Frank/Dodd Wall Street Bailout, a billion public works bill has been moving through Congress. Senate Republicans blocked it today with a filibuster. Senate Republicans Block Economic Stimulus Bill
The bill included money for public infrastructure, including Amtrak, and for medicaid, food stamps, and unemployment benefits.
This bill raises a question for Republicans: how they can support 0 billion for Wall Street and oppose billion for ordinary Americans.
It produces an even tougher question for Democrats: how they can support 0 billion for Wall Street but only billion for ordinary Americans.
