His braggings are the same with the illusions of the generals during the Marcos dictatorship up to the Estrada regime. He only wants to entertain the officials of the 302nd and 303rd Bde that their promotions will be affected because of the AFP's failures to hit their target-objectives in destroying the revolutionary movement in Negros being the priority of Oplan Bantay Laya (OBL2) II in the whole of Western Visayas. In three quarters of this year, the AFP has no significant breakthrough in their counter-revolutionary campaign. Surely by the last quarter of this year, they wil reap nothing but failures.

He only wants to entertain the officials of the 302nd and 303rd Bde that their promotions will be affected because of the AFP's failures to hit their target-objectives in destroying the revolutionary movement in Negros being the priority of Oplan Bantay Laya (OBL2) II in the whole of Western Visayas. Because of the wide mass support for the New People's Army (NPA) and it's adaptation of active defense, the relentless and large scale military operations of the AFP and PNP are nothing more but punches in the air. They have no victory to be proud of in the military and political aspect in their fight against the revolutionary movement. The only things they are proud of are their criminal records in abductions, political killings, tortures, forced evacuations, harassments, illegal searches and arrests and other violations of human rights and international humanitarian law (IHL).
Everyday the AFP are just digging their own graves. Because basically they are reactionaries and mercenaries in the service of the oppressive and exploiting classes that launch an unjust war against the people. The military operations of the AFP/PNP only mean more sufferings for the people that will awaken the thousands that will take up arms and join the NPA in launching revolutionary struggle.
Those who are happy in Negros because of the presence and military operations of the AFP/PNP are the Arroyo family, Eduardo Cojuangco Jr, Gov Isidro Zayco, Alfredo Marañon, the warlord Magdaleno Peña, Montilla family in Sipalay, Herminio Teves, Congresswoman Josy Limkaichong and other exploiting classes that have big interests in mining, illegal drugs, agri-business, bio-fuels and tourism.
Despite the intense military offensives of the AFP/PNP in the countrysides at the start of 2008, the NPA accumulated modest gains in launching tactical offensives against the armed forces of the reactionary state and to punish the business interests of the exploiting class that oppress the people and those that do not pay taxes to the revolutionary government of the people. Besides, the NPA is molded military and politically in the midst of the hardships under OBL I and OBL II, preserved their strength and recruited more members alongside the expansion and consolidation of the massbase. These victories will serve as a reserve force for bigger victories of the NPA in the last quarter of 2008 until it's 40th anniversary.
