EPCC: Tyrone Freeman Have to Go!
Los Angeles--The Echo Park Community Coalition (EPCC) express deep outrage over the Los Angeles investigative report of the Los Angeles Times that shows that Tyrone Freeman, a known protégé of SEIU International head Andy Stern have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars( $ 404, 510) to firms owned by Freeman’s wife and in-laws.
As the organization that religiously followed the union struggle between UHW-West and the SEIU international, the LA Times article which detailed allegations of corruption within SEIU Local 6434 ,the Southern California Long Term Care Local , the EPCC have no doubt that Stern and Ana Burger had knowledge of the outrageous happenings in the Tyrone Freeman’s free-wheeling and dealings!
We, in the EPCC knows that it was Stern who appointed Freeman and propped him up with staff and financial support and placing him in succession of positions and conspired with him in the campaign against UHW-West to achieve “power centralization over the backs of hard working union members.”
It was sad to know that while Freeman receives $ 213,000 annual salary, he failed to report his income, his wife earnings and deliberately failed to report business dealings with his relative’s business transactions in behalf of the union.
We in the EPCC are also outraged that while they talk about union and workers interests, they live ostentatious lives like spending on expensive steaks, Havana cigars and golf tournaments and benefit from earnings on shady deals involving business of their relatives.
Freeman and his patrons have a lot to answer for these accusations and have a lot of explaining to do. They must be transparent and be honest enough to answer these accusations within the bounds of the law.
At this time of economic crisis, when all the working people are suffering, union leaders must be the example of frugality and self-sacrifice. Not of obnoxious living and lack of concern and just high-fallutin lip service for the workingmen.

Lets start by telling the truth about this times article and since the EPCC has been following this fight religiously then you should know these facts:
This is about Sal Rosselli President of UHW, his business and lifetime partner Adam Reeves and Paul Pringle trying to hold onto power.
*Adam Reeves - Sals' Partner, owns a business called "Its in the Bag" Graphics Design company in SF. Worked with the LA Times for 13 Years developed the LA Times Graphic Design Department. Currently has the LA Times as a client.
*Paul Pringle - had relationship with Adam Reeves prior to Adam leaving to SF to develop his company and also helped Adam secure contract with LA Times.
*Sal Rosselli, President of SEIU UHW - Adam Reeves long time partner. Owns home with Adam in SF where they have the "Its in the bag" company listed as the mailing address. Adams company has been investigated by the IRS for not paying taxes. The house used as the companies mailing address has been used as a front for loans for the company and then transferred back to Rosselli many times, just to avoid paying taxes.
This whole article has been mis-leading so bad it makes me sick. This paul pringle person did the whole article based off an angry former employee. Its unbelievable this reporter still works for the LA Times and the editors should also be ashamed of themselves for letting a story like this out especially when a WAR has broken out between Russia and Georgia. Very distasteful and insulting to our Russian and Georgian citizens.
This story is not about Tyrone Freeman and his spending, its about another attack on an African American Leader about to become the largest labor leader in CA and probrobly the world.

Yes, Stern's silence is deafening. As a homecare worker in Northern California I heard from many 6434 members trying to get out from that bondage. Tyrone has been illegally stealing money from workers checks by claiming the amounts deducted are voluntary contributions to the unions PAC known as COPE. Why isn't the CA Attorney General on top of this? 6434 is very delinquent on back dues to SEIU International so Stern et al know there's something wrong with the picture. Is Tyrone paying someone at SEIU off the books? It may be time to call for a divorce from SEIU. Stern does not appreciate that it isthe UHW leadership that has kept a lot of us in SEIU when we have said we want UHW to separate from SEIU and maybe in back to the AFL-CIO.
