Article on the illegal actions against vivisectors that happened in Santa Cruz, California this past weekend.

Forwarded to me by SYITS regarding the US Santa Cruz actions:

"The two actions against vivisectors at UC Santa Cruz has gotten more media attention then any other "alleged" animal liberation underground action that I can remember in recent history. Unfortunately for the animals, there are certain sleazy, self-serving individuals and organizations like HSUS that are DESPERATE to "CONTAIN" the movements' revolutionary component out of fear they may lose millions of donor dollars if they're seen as being militant. With this in mind, HSUS has offered up a reward of $2,500 dollars to help find the perpetrators!!

Apparently the evil vivisector Feldheim "bruised his feet" while leaving his home when an incendiary device burned his front door, and a Volvo was completely burned out at another perverted vivisector's home. HSUS and other individuals like Steve Hindi who are staunch opponents to underground actions on behalf of animals, are shamefully saying that these two actions were unacceptable!! That's a laugh! Unacceptable to WHOM? To some humans that think they can speak for the animals who are suffering in misery inside laboratories? SHAME ON THEM!

What is UNACCEPTABLE is what this vivisector and others do to animals every single day in their dungeons of horror. We'd venture to guess that what they do to animals is a hell of a lot worse then the bruise on Feldeim's foot! SHAME ON HSUS; SHAME ON ANYONE IN THIS MOVEMENT WHO IS COMING OUT TO CONDEMN THESE ACTIONS. If you disagree with these actions that's your prerogative, but to condemn the actions of alleged revolutionaries who are fighting for these animals is a slap in the face to ALL the animals lingering in pain and misery inside laboratories around the world. (I say "alleged" because so far no communiqué has been received from the liberationists claiming these actions.)

It bothers me to no end to think that some in the animal movement don't think animals are worth the bruised foot of a vivisector. The animals must be crying out in despair. If HSUS and Steve Hindi and others are supposed to be "friends to the animals" then who needs enemies?

All I can say is I bet the animals at Santa Cruz who have been, and are continuing to be tortured, abused and suffering in immense pain this very minute, are very appreciative that revolutionaries stepped up to the plate in a culture (and a shameful movement) that sees these poor animals as objects to be exploited. Are these animals not worthy of the same, and much more extreme tactics used to free humans around the world throughout history? I guess HSUS and Steve Hindi have the arrogance and overabundant hubris to think HUMANS are still the top of the pyramid, deserving of tactics that non-human animals are not worthy of. This is the height of SPECIESISM.

Instead of condemning these actions against those immoral and depraved vivisectionists, the animal rights movement should be applauding . If these ludicrous condemnations by HSUS and others don't prove that there are some within our very own movement who are SPECIESIST, we don't know what does. VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

The animals deserve a revolution on their behalf just as much as any human who has been set free by the use of more extreme forms of revolutionary tactics then a bruised foot of a vivisector! Just remember that neither Steve Hindi, HSUS nor any other "human" can truly speak for the animals OR for the movement.

As in all movements throughout history, there are those individuals who are fearful, self centered and narrow minded who have always condemned the revolutionary components of a struggle. This isn't the first time that the conservative bourgeois within a movement have attempted to "contain" the more radical and revolutionary segments of a liberation struggle.

The living, sentient beings this movement is fighting on behalf of is not Michael Markarian of HSUS or Steve Hindi, but the ANIMALS; they are the movement's true constituents; and if you think that any animal being experimented on inside a laboratory would be against these recent actions, then you don't belong in the animal rights movement at all.
