Military officials are desperate in their drive to destroy the New People's Army in Negros. The Phil Army have escalated their fascist and psywar attacks on the people resulting to grave crimes in violating human rights and International Humanitarian Law. Besides targeting the peasants in the countrysides the fascists also use their violent and psywar against the patriotic and progressive leaders and activists of KARAPATAN, KMP, KAUGMAON, NFSW, PAMALAKAYA, Bayan Muna andAnak Pawis Partylists, church and health workers. The desperate and foolish officials of the Phil Armyalso accused Edgar Cadagat, a veteran and multi-awarded journalist and Negros Press Club officer as "spokesperson of KARAPATAN-Negros."
The AFP/PNP officials are only wasting the people's money and taxes by putting up a P5million reward on the head of the NDF spokesperson of Negros while the majority of the people are suffering from the grave crisis of food and poverty caused by militarization ang natural calamities.
Shameful officials of the Commission on Human Rights of the province of Negros Occidental and Oriental joined the Inter Agency Legal Assistance Group (IALAG) in cleansing the human rights violations of the Phil Army despite the investigations of the prestigious International Committee of the Red Cross.
Lt. Col Cesar Yano and Col Honorato de los Reyes are competing with each other as the "Jovito Palparan" junior of Negros based on the record of the Phil Army on extra-judicial killings, abductions, illegal arrests, forced evacuations, tortures, robbery and other human rights violations including being consistent liars. The peasants of Toboso, Calatrava, Cauayan, Moises Padilla of Negros Occidental and Guihulngan, Sta Catalina and Siaton of Negros Oriental are the ones absorbing the fascist attacks and psywar of the Phil Army.
According to the June 22 statement of the Leonardo Panaligan Command, the 11th IB PA made a "mock battle" that resulted to the damaged to properties and fear of the masses and blamed this to the NPA. Also last June 11, troopers of the 11th IB made an "ambush style firefight" on a truck with civilians on board including elements of the PA. This was followed by a "raid style" in Brgy Linantoyan, Guihulngan on June 12 where the 11th IB indiscriminately fired their M16s and grenade launcher on the house of Abon and Rosita Sildora resulting to the damage on the portion of the house.
As mercenries and instruments of the reactionary state under the Arroyo regime, the AFP is fascist and anti-people. The AFP is the armed force that protects and maintains the reign of the big bourgeois compradors and land lords and subservient to the interest of US imperialism.
The people must strengthen their resolve and efforts in building their revolutionary army thru the New People's Army in order to advance the national democratic revolution.
