Fix the Expo Line

The Expo Line will kill the poor but not the rich.

I found this online - Citizens' Campaign to Fix the Expo Rail Line

They are fighting to get a grade separation for the Expo line.

The Expo is another case of the MTA's racism, where wealthy communities get trains underground or raised (on in the case of the gold line, speed-reduced), while poorer communities get trains that run at street level at full speed.

The blue line has killed dozens of people.

East LA's gold line will run at street level in some crowded neighborhoods.

The planned Expo line has grade separations, which means underground or elevated tracks, next to USC and in Culver City. Everywhere else, it runs at street level, meaning that people will have to watch out for the train when they cross the street.

This is Environmental Racism!

Once again, it's the same old bullshit of political influence, where people with money and influence get what they need from the public coffers, while the poor get increased danger, increased death, and increased risk.
