Save Our State's lively discussion about taking weapons to Campo this weekend apparently did not end in a San Diego Minutemen shooting that killed one and wounded two others, according to SD minuteman Jeff Schwilk, who seems to have eyewitness knowledge of events south of the border. He didn't say anything about Save Our State.
Save Our State's lively discussion about taking weapons to Campo this weekend apparently did not end in a San Diego Minutemen shooting that killed one and wounded two others, according to SD minuteman Jeff Schwilk, who seems to have eyewitness knowledge of events south of the border. He didn't say anything about Save Our State, the local immigrant hunters, according to the news report included at the end of these SOS posts.
This is posted in several parts, in comments below. I thought it should be preserved here at LA-IMC, before it disappears from the SOS message board.

o Travel I-8 East for approximately 45 miles
o Exit Buckman Springs Road, Turn right (south) and travel about 15 miles
o Turn left onto Forest Gate Road (after the railroad tracks)
o Continue on Forest Gate Road all the way to the border (approx. 1.5 miles)

For those travelling the I-5, proceed I-5 South TO 805 South, 805 South taking you then to I-8 East.

Now, perhaps we can help motivate BP to deal with much of the
heavy brush that provides so much coverage for illegal border crossers.
Sorry, Bobby. Bottle rockets NOT recommended.

From the looks of the fire on the South side of the border a few
stands of trees towards the Ranchita may get cleared off. Wishful
thinking?

I have received quite a few responses to this event! Should be a great turnout of patriotic friends!!
Sorry we are not giving out free prizes, but we are providing food. And
there is nothing more rewarding than defending our nation's borders.

I
have no idea how many people will be attending this event. A patriot
from Fire Society has been printing & distributing lots of flyers.
Just to make sure we have enough, it would be prudent for people to
bring some drinks & if possible, a chair. We will be cooking
burgers & stuff but if it may be a long day. If you are the type
who needs to eat more often, please bring some snacks to hold you over.

How's 'bout I bring down those two cases of clays, and the case of
shells that you left down there (that I took into "safe keeping"), and
HP brings a thrower ? All we then need is an 870 (or any ol' 12 ga).
How's that for a lil' noise makin' ?

OK
folks, I will bring the thrower. Maybe two of them. The shotgun that
POFE is refering to is an old long barrel pump. If anyone has a newer
model we could use that too.

OK.
STOPPED BY THE OLD BARN WHILE RETURNING FOR LUNCH AND FOUND THE
THROWERS. I HAVE TWO. ONE IS MOUNTED ON A 2FT WOOD ELECTRIC WIRE SPOOL
AND WILL THROW DOUBLE BIRDS. THE OTHER IS A SINGLE THROWER NOT MOUNTED.
BY USEING BOTH THROWERS WE CAN GET 3 BIRDS IN THE AIR AT ONE TIME. iT
IS A LOT OF FUN BUT I DOUBT IF I CAN STILL HIT ALL THREE BIRDS.
SEE YOU ALL THERE.
BRING SHOTGUNS

Three People Shot In Mexico Cross Into U.S. For Treatment
POSTED: 4:25 pm PDT June 14, 2008
UPDATED: 4:58 pm PDT June 14, 2008
CAMPO, Calif. -- Three people were wounded in a
shootout just south of the Mexican border and crossed into the United States
seeking treatment, authorities said Saturday.
One of the three who crossed the border near Campo was airlifted to Sharp
Memorial Hospital. The others were transported by ambulance at about 10:20
p.m. Friday, according to a dispatcher with the Heartland Fire dispatching
agency.
San Diego County sheriff's deputies helped U.S. Border Patrol agents handle
the incident at a campground near state Route 94 and Forrest Gate Road,
sheriff's Lt. Larry Nesbit said.
"They determined it happened on the other side of the border,"
Nesbit said.
The Mexican city of Tecate is about five miles to the west, and smugglers,
persons crossing into the U.S. illegally, and criminals who prey on
immigrants frequently are seen in the area.
Officials with the Border Patrol have not returned telephone calls.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported on its Web site that an e-mail was
received from San Diego Minutemen founder Jeff Schwilk, in which an
associate claimed members of the anti-illegal immigration organization were
in the area at the time, and that the shooting took place among Mexicans
south of the border.
