STAPLES STATIONARY STORES ARE FEELING THE HEAT!
Delivery Truck in Garden Grove, CA Attacked by Animal Liberation Front for Supplying Animal Testing Company

Garden Grove, CA: According to an anonymous communique received over the weekend by the North American Animal Liberation Press Office, activists with the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) claimed to have fire-bombed a truck belonging to Staples, the office supplies retailer. Despite attempts to hide their involvement, Staples has recently been shown to be supplying the animal testing laboratory Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) with office products.

According to the communique:
"An incindiary device was left under a Staples delivery truck in Garden Grove, CA. We did this due to Staples continued support of Huntington Life Sciences (the notorious animal murder and torture laboratories.) Now you have to think about this, do you, as a company with stires and wharehouses filled with paper want to take a stand against those of us who are notorious for bringing fire???"

Staples stores have been a target in the global and ongoing Huntingdon Life Sciences campaign since activists in the UK exposed the fact that Stationary supplier Staples has been caught sneaking into HLS in unmarked vans. Huntingdon Life Science (HLS) is one of the largest animal contract testing laboratories in the world; with three large animal product laboratories, one located in New Jersey and two in the UK. HLS has been exposed in five consecutive undercover investigations showing HLS employees punching beagle puppies in the face, employees simulating sex acts with the animals in the laboratories among other heinous things; HLS has also been found to have violated numerous animal welfare regulations as they torture and kill 500 animals daily testing agrochemicals, household products and pharmaceuticals.. Before losing their NYSE listing two years ago, the company had lost their listing on the London Stock Exchange, after a sustained campaign by activists who exposed atrocities occurring inside HLS facilities.

Six legal protesters from the SHAC USA arm of the campaign were convicted in 2006 of violating the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act and were jailed; since their imprisonment hundreds of protests and underground actions have been ongoing in the US and around the world in order to Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC.) This world-wide campaign is one of the largest animal rights campaign in the history of the movement, and is being waged in order 22 countries around the world.
