Sponsored by West L.A./Brentwood Rotary Club and supported by West L.A. Chamber of Commerce, the festivities include art, live music, food and children’s entertainment in a park-like setting; additional activities include the 11th Annual "Business Expo" and the "Bow-Wow Meow" Pet Expo
This year’s 21st annual Brentwood Spring Art Show offers a juried selection of fine artists and craftspeople, a live jazz showcase with performances by the Jazz Zone Ensemble (featuring Steve Foster (drummer), Darryl Dardin (guitar), Robert Turner (keyboards), Rahmlee Davis (trumpet), Glen Brooks (bass), and special guest vocalist), an international food court of tasty treats, and amusements for kids of all ages. And, while you're there don't miss the 11th annual Business Expo, presented by the West L.A. Chamber of Commerce and Bow Wow Meow Pet Expo and Animal Adoptions, presented by the Four-Legged Friends Foundation
The free admission, one-day extravaganza, is set for Sunday, April 6, from 10:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m., in downtown Brentwood, along San Vicente Boulevard, beginning at Saltair and running east to Darlington in Brentwood. Plenty of parking is available at pay lots on San Vicente Boulevard and at the VA north on Gorham.

The Brentwood Spring Art Show showcases the works of uniquely talented artists where everything is available for purchase. Artworks encompass an interesting mix of styles, from whimsical to contemporary conversation pieces, intermixed with traditional art festival favorites; everything is hand-made, and many are one-of-a-kind collectable items. It’s one-stop shopping for even the most persnickety shopper or collector and the selection possibilities are endless — fine art and photography; adult's and children's clothing and accessories; jewelry; sculptures; stained glass and hand-blown glass, porcelain and ceramic pottery; paper and textile art; potpourri, soaps and candles, and more.

Ray Leier, Brentwood Spring Art Show producer explains, “I try to select items that appeal to the diverse interests of our audience; I only select the best-of-the-best for our show. As one of the show’s jurist, I take my responsibility very seriously; we turn down hundreds of applications because the work doesn't meet our standards. I am not interested in mass produced items, only handmade and one-of-a-kind pieces, the most unique, creative and interesting are what’s accepted.”
“I encourage everyone to come out, to support the artists, musicians, and the many others who lend their time. Some people come for the art, others drop by for the food and the music, but everyone enjoys the relaxing atmosphere.” Leier said, “Every year I work very hard to make all of our events successful for each participant, the surrounding retail and residential community, and for the enjoyment of our visitors.”
A long-time supporter of local non-profit and community-based organizations that provide arts enrichment, education, mentoring, and scholarships, Leier said, “This show was created as a community gathering, but also as a fund-raising source for the various projects that the West L.A./Brentwood Rotary Club supports.”
Leier continued, “Every community has a special organization in need of additional funds not raised the traditional way. Many groups can't afford to produce huge gala fund-raisers; those most in need are the ones I seek out to assist. In the past 30+ years, I have donated proceeds to assist the efforts of many various interest community based organizations. I'm proud to know that through my success, I've produced helped them make a difference in realizing their goals.”

The Brentwood Autumn Show is sponsored by the West Los Angeles/Brentwood Rotary Club and supported by the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce to benefit community non-profit organizations, in addition to providing mini-grants for primary school teachers and scholarships for area high school students. Ray Leier, co-owner of Brentwood’s del Mano Galley, produces the annual events (Spring and Fall) for his Altadena-based del Mano Productions, LLC.
Four Legged Friends Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was launched in 2005 by Sandra Lollino to promote public awareness of the valuable human-pet relationship. Their Another Sunny Day Fund helps financially hardship families with their veterinary care so money doesn't stop a pet from getting the care it needs. The annual Bow Wow Meow Pet Expo is organized by Greater West LA Chamber of Commerce, the Four Legged Friends Foundation and the Ashley Hope Fund; animal adoptions by LA Animal Services, Best Friends Animal Society, Bark Avenue Foundation and The Rescue Train.
The Greater West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit member organization.
