The Los Angeles Federation of Labor released their latest endorsements.

Missing among the incumbent endorsements was Jane Harman, westside congressperson of the 36th district. Harman's voting record has been strongly pro-war, and she has also supported FISA.

Harman was challenged two years ago by Marcy Winograd, an anti-war activist in the Progressive Democrats of Los Angeles. Following her defeat, the PDA has tenaciously criticized Harman.

A New Economy and Blue Dog Democrat, Harman has staked out a position on the right wing of the Democratic Party. Other incumbents who voted for the war in 2002, Howard Berman, Adam Schiff, Brad Sherman, and Henry Waxman, continue to be endorsed by the labor federation. The federation, however, has come out strongly against the war, supporting anti-war organizations and events.
