The BlackRiders are calling for the immediate release of three of their members who are currently being held on charges of conspiring to acquire automatic weapons. The court has set bail at one million dollars.

Arron Janson the lawyer for one of the three BlackRiders stated that he believes that this is case of entrapment and that the three stand a good chance of acquittal. Arron believes that the DA and the LAPD are targeting the BlackRiders because of the Riders political stance against capitalism. It is believed that the LAPD is trying to get the courts to rule that the party is a street gang and not a political party. A court ruling that the Party is a street gang would then allow the DA to get a gang injunction that could be used to potentially crush the party’s ability to organize.

The BlackRiders are asking that supporters come to the hearing this Thursday, March 6th at the downtown courthouse located at Temple & Broadway, 15th floor, Division 131 to show support.
