WHO: Join Iraq Veterans Against the War, Military Families Speak Out -Orange County, Military Families Speak Out - San Gabriel, Military Families Speak Out - Los Angeles, International Socialist Organization and the Emergency Response Network in demanding:
*Immediate withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Afghanistan and Iraq!
*Stop funding the war and occupation!
WHY: Voters' desire to see political change has become the undisputed theme of this year's presidential election. A big reason for this is the ongoing war in Iraq. Despite the claims that Bush's "surge" of additional troops in Iraq has been a success, 2007 was the deadliest year for U.S. troops, and the U.S. is still dropping thousands of pounds of bombs on Iraqi cities.
Keep the issue of the war in the spotlight and send a clear message to the leading Democratic candidates that the United States must immediately stop funding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and bring all US troops home immediately.
