The Santa Barbara Infoshop Collective is working to build a radical institution in the city where activists of all stripes can meet one another, learn and organize. More than 40 members have banded together to build the infoshop, which will be unique in Santa Barbara, a city more known for its shallow consumerism and absurd real estate prices.

The goal of the SB Infoshop is to create a hub for radical activism and thought in in Santa Barbara.

What is an Infoshop?

An infoshop is a volunteer-run bookstore and community center for activist activities, including a computer center, free meeting space, a library with radical literature, a shop with books, zines, other gear and more. An Infoshop is a free space where people are invited to hang out, talk, meet, play and organize. Everyone is welcome!

There are dozens of infoshops in the USA and many more in Europe. They serve as movement archives, specializing in anarchist literature, but are open to all progressive ideologies.

Once the infoshop secures a space it will be open to the public. Stay tuned!
